Most businesses can qualify for the consumer credit bureau requirements as long as they complete the necessary paperwork and onsite inspection. Publicly traded companies, 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations and government offices are exempt from being inspected.
The inspection is only a 20 minute visit to document the nature of the business and its ability to securely store and destroy consumer credit information.

Criminal records can either be searched online or through the use of a local county court researcher depending on the jurisdiction and how extensive the search must be. Driving record searches are submitted to the applicable state DMV and may take 1 to 3 business days to receive.
